Free WordPress Themes directory is the most important Wordpress themes provider. Here you can find the newest themes, plugins and news about wordpress.
WordPress Themes Archive has gathered over 2000 free wordpress themes and, excluding the directory which allows the preview of each individual themes, provides a file containing all the themes, a file which has nearly 400 mb and which can be downloaded directly from the website as an archive (in zip or tar.gz) or with a torrent client. If you don’t want the whole collection, just download the themes that you are interested in; the files are available for themes with a column, 2, 3 or 4 columns.
There are also disadvantages; would you expect everything to be perfect? The theme doesn’t allow too many criteria for sorting – only category, color and positioning of the sidebar and is quite time consuming to navigate through more than 100 pages. In addition, almost any theme downloaded contains an additional link, paid advertising for an online store, in one of the footer or sidebars. Not that it would be too difficult to remove that link! Last but not least, a rather important omission is that there’s no link to the home page theme, meaning you don’t have any idea if the theme is working correctly on your version of wordpress and you also don’t know if any updates have occurred for this wordpress theme.
