Websites like Digg
Digg.com is one of the largest websites. Everybody loves Digg.com and everyone reads Digg. If you want your blog’s traffic to grow, make Digg love you. If Digg will love you, the search engines will love you. So, Digg is a star, and there are lots of other websites like Digg, which follow the same principle and so they can be called “the followers” or “websites like Digg“. Here they are, the most important one, Mixx, Reddit, Kirtsy, Buzz Up!, Mr Wong, and less familiar:
Sphinn Internet Marketing News and Discussion Forums. It’s design allows you to easily view the various topics on search engine marketing, internet marketing, search marketing or latest marketing news. The differences between Digg and Sphinn are that if your Sphinn account is less than 1 day old, you will not be able to submit the article and for the first week of your account being active, you will be limited to 1 post per a 24 hour period.
PlugIM – “PlugIM is a user driven internet marketing community. Submit content, share articles, comment on projects and promote your favorites to the front page. If it’s internet marketing related, plug it on PlugIM.”
Design Float, “taking its cue from Digg, has come up with a community-run news outfit whose sole focus is design. Design related stories are collected, voted on and ranked. The stories receiving the most votes get top spots on the homepage while those that aren’t so hot get shipped to the bottom. Sites can be submitted by any user, once registered. All content is neatly categorized so you’ll be able to sort out typography from CSS. Entries can also be arranged according to date and popularity. For easier submission, DesignFloat has a series of widgets as well as a bookmarklet for FireFox, IE, and Opera. The site’s also got a RSS feed.”
DZone is a free link-sharing community for developers. On DZone anyone can submit new links to the incoming queue. The members vote on upcoming links to determine what gets promoted. Like Digg, everyone can browse, search and comment on links.
