Title, title tag or HTML title

The title is the most important part of a website. The title is supposed to tell the reader as well as the search engine what a page is about. It contains a brief description of the page and the most important keywords should be here. It’s good to know that each page should have a title and all titles must be unique. Example: <title> SEO Blog </ title>

The title should be placed in section <head> of the website and should not use excessive comma to separate words.

The title should contain a maximum of 65 characters (most of the search engines do not read more than 65 characters). Usually, the title should contain keywords which appear in the body of the document, which is required for maintaining the keywords’ density.

Try to avoid using titles like “Blank page”, “Home” or “Untitled”.

Title tag or html title

The title element is required in all HTML/XHTML documents and  defines a title in the browser toolbar,  provides a title for the page when it is added to favorites or/and displays a title for the page in search-engine results.

Re-using the title tag of each page as the H1 header tag can be valuable from both a keyword targeting standpoint and a user experience improvement. Users who go to a page from the SERPs will have the expectation of finding the title they clicked – deliver and you’ve fulfilled that obligation. Users will be more likely to stay on a page they’re reasonably certain fits their intended goal or query.

Realizing the importance of a Title Tag when optimizing a site it is important that you consider the length of characters being included within this tag. In the opinion of Keyword Performance we feel that title tags should span no less than six words and no more than twelve which result in about a range of fifty to eighty characters, this includes spaces, hyphens, commas, etc. This will allow the search engine to utilize this information effectively. You do not want to over kill the keyword density by cramming in to much information that a search engine may look over.

I wonder if you put the title tag inside strong tags, if that will give you an extra push.

Geo, the answer for title tag inside strong tags is no because “strong” is invalid in the “head” section of the document, and you would be downgraded for having invalid HTML
